Health is wealth. A poor man, while struggling, may have more to be happy with than a rich man who is struggling and unable to look after himself. That’s a gross generalization of course, but it does show that we cannot always rely on the material to help us to a life well lived. Now, those who do have health struggles often take the time and have the strength to ensure they live a great life. Not all health issues are self-directed or the consequence of bad habits.
However, to lessen the chances of your health bank account running dry or becoming less reliable, it’s worth caring for yourself as much as you can. Sitting down all day, for instance, will rarely help your physical or mental health in the best possible manner.
However, if health is wealth, what are the primary and most major investments you should make? This is a worthwhile question to ask. Let’s consider how an average working person can ensure they act as their own health insurance:
Sleep Is Everything
It’s important to remember that sleep often decides everything. It helps us feel more connected to our daily schedules, as the alert, upright, interested people we hope to be. Without sleep, we can often feel like a hollow representation of ourselves. It affects our mental cognition, our emotional regulation, our passion for life, and of course, our physical health. Be sure to keep a solid ,reliable sleep schedule. Don’t be afraid to invest in worthwhile helpers, such as blue light glasses that prevent screens from robbing you of good, healthy sleep. This can greatly improve your daily functioning.

Exercise Is Essential
Exercise, to the degree, you can manage it, is essential. For some that means keeping up with their running schedule, for others it means walking around in the park for a time with their dog, each and every day. Don’t feel bad if you’re untrained, or physical unable to perform as well as other people. There’s likely something you could do, even if that’s arm stretches, or a few bodyweight exercises in your room each morning. Exercise is important, but we can all decide on how much activity we are capable of, provided we hope to improve.
Diet Is Freeing
A good diet is often seen as a harsh restriction, but actually, it can become quite freeing to partake in one. A diet of healthy foods can teach you how to cook, it can open your mind to new ingredients, and it may even let you become more careful about eating good foods, not just a lot of them. Certain dietary challenges (approved by your doctor) such as limited carbs or only eating healthy fats and getting rid of sugars could be seen as fantastic new developments to help you move forward and feel better in yourself, in your gut biome, and in your general food outlook.
These three elements seem obvious, but the mindsets described above aren’t always so easy to come to. With these tips, we hope you can get there more easily.
