I bet we all have a list of purchases we would make if we won the lottery. Most people have a house, a car and a holiday on their list but we all also have certain plans that have personal meaning to us. Some lottery winners are notoriously frugal with their money whilst others splash their lottery winnings on pretty much anything.
Lottosend have created an infographic that shows some of the more extreme and unusual purchases by lottery winners.
I certainly know what I would be buying if myself and Steve won the lottery. A house for us, mortgage free. A trip to Canada – where Steve’s grandfather came from. A trip on the Orient Express. Some money to our parents and siblings. Money put away for Jack and any future children to use on a car/university/a house. All fairly sensible options.
But I can’t help but think that I would have to do something a little out of the ordinary if I did manage to win all of that cash. Maybe take some risks that I had never thought about taking before?
